Steam Wands

Our espresso machine has a superb boiler. I mean if we wanted to steam a bucket load of milk it would be great. I am not a big fan of bucket loads of milk though.

You shouldn’t like it either. Your milk should be steamed for you, and poured lovingly into freshly prepared espresso, just for you.

So to stop the bucket load of milk madness, our Victoria Arduino needed smaller steam tips. Well the holes in the tips needed to be smaller so less steam would come out. We have a unique machine and the two hole tip that is listed to fit 99.9% of commercial espresso machines doesn’t fit our’s. Why Mr. Arduino did you put 8 threads on my wand? Wasn’t 5 enough?

A few calls led me to Nuova Distribution, who also didn’t have tips. They did have an alternate steam wand that would fit our machine, and a restrictive 4 hole tip that would fit the new wand.

I switched out the ugly brass nut off the new wand and re-used the super pretty chromed nut from the original.

I steamed a few ounces of milk for a lovely machiato. The microfoam is amazing.

We officially can steam milk in more than 4 seconds.
