So we dropped the ball since Christmas on the updates… And yes we are back in Birmingham. But the post will continue!

I feel like we should somehow do a farewell Guatemala post. But I just don’t know how or what to write to sum up 5 months. It’s just too much for words.

I feel our first Birmingham post is a great way to end the Guatemala chapter.

We are hoping to move from our Hobbitt Hole in Panajachel to a 3 story garden apartment in Southside on 23rd street. After Chicago for 3 years, we feel the need for some city living.

In coffee news…

We are going to be roasting in Birmingham sometime in the next two weeks. Today our Ambex Coffee Roaster arived in my parent’s culdesac on an 18 wheeler. It weighed a 1/2 ton crated…it roasts 33 pounds in a batch. We hope to have it hooked up, have green coffee, and be roasting within the week. We will definitely let everyone know when it will be available.

Havilah’s brother, Geoff, designed our sweet logo. Feedback would be nice…
