We are in the city of Panajachel, it is to the west of Guatemala city.

This is a map of Panjachel a photo from my Rough Guide guide book on Guatemala. (They make good books if you travel.) Crossroads Cafe is given a good review in the book and is at the top right of the map labled “B.” Crossroads is also given a good review of the Lonely Planet’s newest Guatemala guide book.

Thanks for the maps man. Where was the fair in relation to the coffee shop? Could you enjoy a cup of tasty coffee while some guy cranked your ferris wheel around by hand? What kind of vendors were there? i am guessing it wasn’t funnel cakes and cotton candy. Or maybe it was.
:::SIDE NOTE::: i don’t suppose you guys roast any decaf??? Is the decaffeination process beyond what you guys do? Just curious since i can’t have the real stuff.
Thanks for the maps! Looking at them bring back memories of when I was in Guatemala in 1975 and now my son and daughter are there almost 30 years later. #1 memory of Guatemala is how nice the people were to me. Never made it to Pana but now when we go we will have two expert guides!! Both of you are in our daily prayers!!! Love professa g’s questions about the funnel cakes and cotton candy.
hey! toque just gave me your site address….way cool, i am gonna check this constantly….God bless
Hey Brett and Hava! Im sorry I havent posted in a while, I just had to catch up on all of you guys adventures. I/We miss you all so much. I can wait to hear the stories and what the Lord has taught you all. I am praying for you guys daily and will look foward to seeing you in December. Brett ,fyi, I went looking for Toyota Tacomas with a friend of mine. He is looking but we didnt find anything good. Hope you guys continue to learn and be stretched. Look foward to hearing from you! Chad and Court!
One more thing, Brett pray from me, AmSouth moved me to a different branch starting Tuesday the 12th so pray for a new ministry there! thanks bud! chad
hey brett and hava. i’ve finally registered so i can write you. i got to hear some stuff through heather when you called, hava. that made her week!
that and she got a call from geoff too!
well i haven’t been much of a caller either so let me take this opportunity to give my love to you two and everyone else in the fam that i haven’t kept up w/ a lot. life’s been busy w/ me but very sanctifying (aka can-kicking). it’s good to get caught up on all that’s going on there in guatemala. the whole experience looks awesome. heather and i are praying for you always. as for my Christmas order, i’d like as much “dark roasted” tanzania or ethiopian as you can smuggle. this reminds me of the movie “blow”. anyway, i’m glad that Christmas will mean seeing you here and hanging out at geoff’s wedding. we just got our wedding pics back so i’m getting super excited about jan 1. as for us, two months and counting…keep us in your prayers. mucho l’amour, renjie.
Wow! This site is rocks my socks off! For some reason, i was searching on Google for cottage cheese stuff and this blog came up. There seemss to be some pretty interesting stuff going on down there in guatamala. And some of the members on here seem to be pretty cool. i especially dig the spanish “father abraham.” Hey señor - do you have muchos niños? Hahahaha - i can be funny just like you Professor G and MommaS!
