We realized we left out pictures of the other half of our house. The other door in our casita leads into our bedroom…and bathroom. Wolf’s wife designed and made most of the things that you can see in this picture. She made the beautiful quilt, and all the pictures and paintings on the wall. She is quite creative, so creative that we have a floodlight as the only interior means of illumination. Needless to say….after almost blinding myself one night trying to read across from the flood light, we decided to buy lamps.
Switching gears…..if you happen to be taller than the average joe and you wash your hair in the average Guatemala shower….your elbow always hits the electric shower head..BZZZ…yeah thats a great way to wake up in the morning. But, we are blessed to have a propane powered “Splendid.” Our’s is behind the house connected to a 25 pound propane tank. no shock = splendid

lol! no electric shock would be splendid! I can remember the first couple of times getting a shower under the electric shower head and being quite nervous about the shower. But compared to c-o-l-d water for a shower, you learn to live with it. How is the search for a motorbike going?
i feel i should take it upon myself to compliment your fantastic interior decorating skills…you had me at the painting above the bedroom bureau-thing…amazing stuff! you should’ve told me you were into renaissance artistry…i’ll have all sorts of goodness waiting for your apartment when you move back to chicago :0)
