    it was fun talking to you today. we all miss you. judah talks about you. ok, here’s the recipe. I have to go to bed now. I’ll write more some other time and I’ll send pictures of the boys just in case you miss them: ) much love, sara

    CALZONES pkg. quick rise yeast (1/4oz. or 2T + 1/4 tsp.) 1/2 tsp. sugar 4 cups flour 1/2 tsp. salt 2T olive oil, plus more for greasing about 1 cup plus 2T lukewarm water

    mix the dough ingredients to a soft dough (I find that I don’t need quite this much flour or it gets too tough. so I mix 3 cups and then add more, if needed, as I’m kneading it). knead the dough for 5-10 min. until smooth. oil a large bowl. shape dough into a round and place in the bowl. cover with oiled plastic wrap and leave in a warm place to rise.

    prepare the filling while the dough is rising. their recipe calls for:

    1/2 cup ricotta cheese 1 large tomato peeled, seeded, and chopped 1/4 cup grated mozzarella 2 garlic cloves 1/4 cup pitted black olives, chopped 1 scant cup sliced mushrooms 1 green pepper, cored, seeded, and sliced 1/2 tsp dried oregano salt and pepper beaten egg for glazing.

    I hardly ever follow their recipe: ) I like more cheese and less veggies. hee hee. ok, punch down the dough on a floured work surface, and shape into four 8 inch rounds. fill the calzones. put on an oiled baking sheet, brush with beaten egg, and bake at 475 for 15 minutes.

    Hey guys. Since we are sharing recipes, i thought i would pass along one of my favorites. Hey Barry, can i get a shout-out on this one!?!

    BROWN-SUGAR CINAMMON NUM-NUMS 1/3 cup o’ brown sugar 1 tsp o’ cinammon 1 tbsp o’ agua (water) 3 tbsp o’ butta (1) 10 oz can o’ biscuits

    Put butta, brown suga, cinammon, y agua in an approximately 8” x 8” pyrex bakeware guy. Heat in microwave about 30-45 seconds (enough to melt the butta). Remove from radiation machine and mix ingredients well (in other words, stir up the melted buttery, sugary goodness). Cut up the biscuits - i usually cut each biscuit into fourths. Plop the dough bits into the pyrex guy and mix with the sauce until each piece is thoroughly coated. Put back in microwave for 1.5 - 2.5 minutes (cook to personal preference).

    ENJOY!

    This tasty treat is best enjoyed after 11pm
